Who do we support?
CCS Disability Action has supports people of all ages, with a wide variety of impairments. This support includes families. We have grown well beyond our original focus on children with physical disabilities. Our services are offered throughout New Zealand
How do we work?
We support individuals and families to live the life they want to lead. We combine information, advocacy, direct support, and connection with other people who can support you, to achieve the lifestyle that you and your family want. Each person's service is very individual.
We want you and your family to have the ordinary opportunities available to all New Zealanders have: to learn, have relationships, have a home, work and participate in the community and belong in a cultural and spiritual way that works for you.
We call this way of working supported lifestyles.
Listed below is more detail about twhat we offer.
Family and Youth
We get to know children, young people and their families, and support them to have the life that they want. We advocate with them tothe disability support and health systems and early childhood and school settings so that they are included and have access to the supports they need. We find creative ways to work with whanau, extended family, and the wider community to ensure every child is included and everybody gets the time out they need.
