CCS – Disability Action West Coast has launched this regional fund raising campaign as a part of the “Welcome Home Appeal”.
Having been gifted land in Paroa, CCS, with the support of AJ Mooney Lockwood and Initial Homes, is building a three bedroom, three bathroom accessible home which will feature designs beyond those required to meet disability compliance. The holiday home will feature wheelchair access and bench heights, have accessible bathrooms, braille rugs and a hearing loop, and when finished will be available to all families on the Coast, especially those with members who have a disability, as a holiday retreat.
The total cost of the project is $345,000. Support has already been received from the CCS – Disability Action Canterbury West Coast head office in Christchurch, the Blackadder Trust and funds raised through a meet Sir Bob Jones evening.
The purpose of the COPS 4 CCS is to raise money, as much as we can and to involve the West Coast community in this worthwhile project. Our aim is to raise $100,000 and ensure that those in real need of a holiday get one.
Donations can be made from any ANZ Branch to the COPS 4 CCS Account.
