Pre-School and Primary School ChildrenOur service coordinators work with children and families to:
· Get the benefits and financial help you are entitled to
· Access transport
· Meet others facing similar issues
· Make sure your child is fully involved in all pre-school and school life
· Find out what is on and where for children and families in your community - for example music groups, swimming, sports
· Meet support people who can help your child join in with other children and who can help you to look after yourself and all your family
Secondary School Children and Young PeopleAs well as the above, our Service Coordinators also work to support young people to:
· Make choices about what they want to do in their leisure and social time
· Join in with things they are interested in, in their community
· Develop self confidence
· Speak up for themselves
· Meet other young people facing similar issues
· Discuss their hopes and dreams
· Where they want to live and who with
· What they want to do
· How to make these things happen
